VIP Nightlife

Nightclubs in Montreal

May 13th, 2008

It’s been a while since I’ve filled you guys in on the latest Nightlife and bachelor party happenings in Montreal. With spring finally here, Montreal nightclubs are filling up with the hottest girls you’ll find in North America.

Grand Prix and the Jazz fest are only a month away; if you’re planning to experience Montreal at its peak, make sure you make arrangements in advance for hotel accommodations and take care of VIP at the nightclub’s before you arrive. large groups benefit from these kinds of arrangements the most as finding the right club that will accommodate large groups at peak season can be difficult.

Montreal UFC

February 4th, 2008

A bit off topic, but I just found out that UFC 83 is scheduled for April 19th in Montreal. This is huge for people like myself who’ve been following one of the fastest growing sports in North America. There are plenty of locals into MMA and the turn-out for the first UFC event to take place is sure to be spectacular. George St. Pierre being a Montreal native is sure to drive up the popularity of this event, though I wouldn’t be surprised if out-of-town MMA fan’s try to get in on the first UFC event to ever be held in Canada. Expect me to be there for Montreal UFC 83!

Boston Bachelor Party

February 1st, 2008

Recently an article in the Boston Globe discussed the industry emerging around Boston Bachelor Party groups deciding to take trips abroad to celebrate instead of doing it locally. The article talks about the scale of some of these trips, varying from a brief stay in Vegas to weeks in an island paradise. Montreal is mentioned as one of the popular destinations and a local Bachelor Party planner and VIP service provider talks about how guys tend to spend more time these days planning their Bachelor Party then they used to. The press attention is no surprise to me. But it is only a matter of time before it stops being North America’s best kept secret, as more people discover Montreal.

Divorce Party

January 21st, 2008

It’s not often I get surprised by new trends involving the nightlife in Montreal, but this recent offering by a Montreal based company is sure to get some attention; They’re offering divorce party packages. From what I gather, it’s essentially like a bachelor party but with an emphasis on getting the divorcee to get reintroduced back into single life and really cutting loose for a weekend in Montreal. I guess if anything it’s probably crazier then a bachelor party since you’re not focused on any up coming wedding.

As an added incentive, it looks like your trips free if you’ve had a bachelor party through them in the past; definitely one of the funniest deals I’ve ever heard a company offer. Have a look for yourself at this Divorce Party package, if you’re curious.

New Years Eve

December 14th, 2007

The Montreal nightlife is gearing up for it’s biggest night with New years Eve only two weeks away. I’ve been keeping an eye on the new years scene and there’s definitely no shortage of top quality parties going on in Montreal. If you haven’t made plans yet you risk not getting in to some of the city’s hottest parties. I’ve got friends from out of town how are already having trouble finding a hotel. I found this local company’s New Years page; they let you buy your ticket and book your hotel all on their site, definitely something I recommend for those of you who are still having trouble deciding on which party to go to.

Bachelor Party in Montreal

October 26th, 2007

If you’re asking yourself why come to Montreal over other possible Bachelor party destinations, here’s a list I came across online that hits all the major benefits of having a Bachelor Party in Montreal. The city’s centralized nightlife district has always been something I enjoy. Throw in all the great strip clubs and nightclubs in downtown Montreal and you get a great place to bring the bachelor. Getting to Montreal doesn’t take much time by car if you live in the North East and a plane ride would be relatively short to get here. Lastly the city’s reputation continues to grow, ask some of your friends who’ve already experienced Montreal’s nightlife to know just what you are missing.

clubs in Montreal

October 12th, 2007

Partying in Montreal isn’t about hitting the same few clubs all the time. Montreal has a wide selection of venues catering to everyone’s tastes, If you’re with someone who knows the nightlife here, they’ll be able to show you all the best spots. It’s always good to avoid the venues that mainly cater to tourists and head to where all the locals go. There are new clubs opening all the time and being on top of where the trendiest crowds can be found can make your visit to Montreal much more memorable. Here’s a list of Nightlife Locations that give you an idea of all the Montreal Hotspot regions.

Nightlife

September 20th, 2007

Summer Festivals may be winding down but Montreal’s nightlife hasn’t slowed down one bit, and I’ve been enjoying it every step of the way. As far as I’m concerned the club scene in Montreal is at its best in late summer/early fall; it’s a little more laidback when you want it to be and can get as intense as you want when you start hitting the strip clubs.

Whether you’re heading up to Montreal for the weekend or for your friends bachelor party, a full contact private show can be the best way to unwind. I’ve always enjoyed the lower cost of getting full contact lap dances in Montreal compared to other cities; it leaves you with more money for drinks at the end of the night or extra cash for hitting some of the great clubs in town.

Montreal Club Scene

August 14th, 2007

I’ve been noticing a growing trend over the last few years that shows just how much bigger the nightlife has been getting in Montreal; as the club scenes’  have been growing and becoming more exclusive, tipping just doesn’t fly with the bouncers anymore.

I’m probably not the first one to notice this, but it’s been taking lots of visitors to Montreal by surprise. I know in some American cities it’s common place to skip long lines and get better service by giving the bouncer a tip, but at a lot of Montreal clubs they’re starting to get more selective. For trendier groups looking to party in Montreal the only way to get better services is to go VIP. Clubbing at the city’s hotspots and bypassing the people who are waiting in line with their names on the regular guestlist is difficult if clubs don’t see you as a VIP.

It can be a pretty big downer on a bachelor party if they expect to get into the best clubs in Montreal by simply tipping the bouncer, only to find themselves stuck outside and having to resort to small time venues that don’t measure up. An important aspect of Bachelor party planning when taking the group to a major nightlife destination is to have someone with knowledge of the Montreal club scene; in this case I take it upon myself as a bachelor party expert to fill you guys in on this crucial detail.

The Golden Age of Montreal Nightclubs

August 6th, 2007

There are lots of books that talk about Montreal and its great nightlife, but none have ever gone into the city’s past and looked at why Montrealers have always been so big on late night partying.

Stepping Out: The Golden Age of Montreal Night Clubs looks at the culture surrounding Montreal’s nightlife and talks about some of the most popular nightclubs of the time. It’s interesting to read from the perspective of someone who frequents  the best venues today; a lot of the places I visit were built on the site of hugely famous clubs that I’d never heard of till now. Luckily the city hasn’t slowed down one bit; Montreal is still a great place to party and people still come from all over to hit the clubs or have a bachelor party here.

I’m sure the Montreal Nightlife will keep getting more recognition, the fact that there are now books and travel shows mentioning it prominently means the city is moving from being one of North America’s best kept secrets to a mainstream hotspot.

Cheers from the Montreal Nightlife Expert!
